FAN-PAC Meets Assemblywoman Angelica M. Jimenez (D)
Tuesday December 12, 2017 – New Jersey State Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez (D-32nd district) hosted representatives from FAN-PAC at her office in West New York. The Democratic Assemblywoman and FAN-PAC representatives discussed legislation to create a rebuttable presumption of joint physical custody of minor children in family court matters.
Assemblywoman Jimenez is a committed advocate for her constituents. She is the Vice Chair of the Regulated Professions Committee and sits on both the Education and Health and Senior Services Committees. She also serves as the Deputy Majority Leader in the Assembly. Assemblywoman Jimenez understands the vital role education plays in shaping the lives of New Jersey’s children.
The group reviewed recently introduced Assembly Bill A1091 sponsored by Assemblyman Eric Peterson (R-23rd district). Asw Jimenez shared with FAN-PAC her personal experience as a parent and clearly expressed her understanding of the significant benefits our children receive by having access to the love, support and emotional guidance of both parents.
Assemblywoman Jimenez referred to A1091 and shared parenting as “good legislation” and she will support this bill 100%. Asw Jimenez will discuss her support with her colleagues and be a champion for shared parenting in her capacities as a legislator and a mother.
